Haiti Earthquake Victims Need Our Help
Matching program to raise $50,000

January 20, 2010

Dear Friends,

My family and I returned from Haiti and the Dominican Republic on Sunday, just 48 hours before the island of Hispaniola was rocked by the 7.0 earthquake. We were there with World Vision to celebrate the completion of an irrigation project that was 5 years in the making. The ability to cultivate hundreds of new acres of land is bringing hope and prosperity to the poorest of the poor living on the Haiti-Dominican Republic border.

Our joy quickly turned to concern for those we left behind upon learning of the disaster in Port-au-Prince. The people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic need our help more now than ever. We encourage you to open your hearts and give to relieve their suffering.

And when you do, my family will match dollar-for-dollar your donation up to $25,000. To donate simply click on this World Vision link: www.worldvision.org/edifice

We have personally witnessed the field work of the dedicated people of World Vision in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Africa. We have met sponsored children, visited completed projects and seen improvement in the lives of the poor. We can assure you that your contribution will be used efficiently to benefit those most in need.

Respectfully,

John
