Edifice to Unveil New Demand-Driven Analysis and Collaboration Service at 2009 NRF Big Show

New Offering Employs Business Intelligence Technology, Including Web-Based Dashboards and Ad Hoc Reporting

RIVERDALE, NJ - Dec. 1, 2008 - Edifice Information Management, an information services company specializing in the collection, analysis and distribution of demand data used by retailers and suppliers to improve supply chain efficiencies, today announced that it will unveil its new demand-driven analysis and collaboration service at the upcoming National Retail Federation's (NRF) BIG Show, Jan. 11-14, 2009, in New York City. Show attendees can participate in interactive demos and discussions at booth #255.

Employing cutting-edge business intelligence (BI) technology, Edifice's highly anticipated service offering will enable retailers and suppliers to more efficiently collaborate on demand data to significantly reduce operating costs and to focus their attention on increasing margin and turn. Visually powerful dashboards and scorecards, representing key performance indicators, will allow executives of retailers and suppliers to gain fast and broad overviews of the health of their businesses without the need to invest in costly BI software.

Additionally, ad hoc reporting will give Edifice users full control over their report-creation processes. Users will be able to access any time horizons, item and location attributes, and metrics to create and share their own reports. This powerful functionality will enable decision makers to identify and act on opportunities faster.

"Facing one of the worst economic environments in decades, retailers are aggressively looking for ways to reduce costs, maintain margins and boost sales," said Stephen Cornwell, director of marketing and product development, Edifice Information Management. "Using Edifice and these new features, retailers can drastically cut costs associated with supplier reporting. They can also increase sales by empowering their suppliers with robust demand data and BI tools, allowing them to proactively seek out opportunities, avoid issues and build more localized assortments."

In light of the current economy, and as organizations continue to spend money on struggling BI implementations, Edifice's positioning as a service provider couldn't be more timely. By managing the entire process - from data collection to validation and reporting - Edifice removes the reporting burden from retailers and suppliers, enabling them to focus on their core competencies: buying and selling. Just as important, Edifice provides this service at a price that allows both large and small suppliers to participate.

"Most of the companies we speak with have a desire to implement dashboards, but traditional BI software is expensive and complex," said Nathan Bruce, product manager, Edifice Information Management. "A key benefit of the new Edifice dashboard service is that we manage all of the complex data collection and analysis for both retailers and suppliers - without their having to invest in a BI solution or endure a costly and disruptive software implementation."

Although Edifice's new service offering provides a higher level of functionality, the company has not changed its commitment to being the low-cost provider of demand-driven analysis and retailer-supplier collaboration services. As such, pricing for these enhanced services will follow the same value-based pricing approach as that of the basic Edifice services.

"Our mission is to deliver collaborative, demand-driven retail analysis services to retailers and suppliers of all sizes. The pricing model for our new services will adhere to this core principle," said Cornwell.
