Famous Footwear Partners with Edifice to Provide Suppliers Enhanced POS Data Set and Robust Reporting Service

Greater visibility to consumer demand will enable the retailer and its suppliers to reduce out-of-stocks and plan optimal assortments for upcoming seasons

RIVERDALE, N.J., March 19, 2010 - Edifice Information Management, an information services company that enables retailers and suppliers to collaborate more effectively on point-of-sale (POS), inventory, and supply-chain data, today announced that it has partnered with Famous Footwear to provide its vendor partners with an expanded set of POS and inventory information and a powerful reporting platform.  The partnership with Edifice will enable Famous Footwear to share with their vendor partners consumer demand and merchandising insights that will help create even better in-season execution and future-season assortment optimization.

Effective immediately, Famous Footwear's vendor partners can access and begin utilizing this expanded set of data through the Edifice reporting service.  Using a web browser, users can sign on to the Edifice portal and access a suite of Excel reports and web-based dashboards.  Suppliers can select from pre-packaged reports or opt to create their own custom reports.  Data extracts are also available for companies who have already invested in reporting technology.

Many partners have already taken advantage of this enhanced data-sharing program including Columbia Sportswear, Crocs, Deckers Outdoors, Quiksilver, K-Swiss, New Balance, Skechers, The Timberland Company and more.

"Our partners are uncovering opportunities for increasing sales and margins and improving inventory productivity through this tool, by accessing information down to the size and store level each week," said Rick Ausick, President, Famous Footwear.

"We are excited about the Famous Footwear partnership because they are such a strategic account for many of our footwear customers," said Dawn Febo, vice president of business development, Edifice Information Management. "This expanded partnership will enable Famous Footwear and its suppliers to identify more opportunities for improving sales and stock performance and increasing margins."
